Poor Mr. Darcy?

The story is well presented, not rushed and wonderfully compelling. Truly one of the more unique P&P variations . The What if, in Poor Mr. Darcy, is that as the result of Georgiana and Wickham marrying, Darcy never goes to Netherfield, Jane and Bingley marry and Lizzy lives with them. While Mrs. Bennet is still mad at Lizzy for refusing Mr. Collins and Lizzy, while having met Darcy at Rosings was unaware of Pemberley or his wealth. There are many twist and turns to keep you guessing.

A very enjoyable read!

I like the books written by Ms. McMann and Ms. Hanford. They are satisfying reads, and, although this one had a serious problem that was being dealt with, I found many laughs at the thoughts and actions of some of the characters. Our Darcy and Elizabeth's love for each other develops at a satisfying pace, and this plot is very different from other P&P's and very enjoyable as well.
My only dissatisfaction was the ending. Not sure why I found it so, but the book overall is a very enjoyable, clean and fun read. Congratulations again to two very imaginative authors. I look forward to your next book.

Totally new plot we haven't seen before.

I give this 4-1/2 stars. This was a very interesting P&P version. It starts sometime after Jane and Charles have married (within the year), and takes place at Netherfield. Darcy has a very different personality, Georgiana is morose, Elizabeth is living with Jane and Charles, Mrs Bennet is just as loud and whiny, bemoaning Elizabeth not marrying Collins. There is an interesting twist fitting in with Wickham's personality. I can't really say more without giving it all away. I liked it!
